Dear
Runners,
Starting
April 17th our njoy
racing team is ready
to hit the pavement for the 2010 season.
This year we have added another run weekly run and more fun races to the
schedule. There have been a few changes
from last year, such as where to meet for Wednesday runs, where workouts are
posted and the biggest change – having an assistant, Kirsten Skinner.
I have
taken a new position as running coach for Star Trac, so there will be some runs
that I have to miss and Kirsten will be there to assist you. I have also had to drop two days of teaching
running at the Loop, which Kirsten will be
picking up Thursday Hills and follow suit to what you have been doing for the
past 3 years. She is a Certified USA
Track and Field Coach, has ran marathons, qualified for Boston in her very first
one and looking forward to running with the group and helping you all reach
your goals.
We will
have an additional run on the schedule that lasts May through August; Track
Practice in the mornings at the Chicago Avenue Track close to the Gold Coast Equinox.
These runs will be from 6:30-7:30 in the morning.
Wednesday
runs will meet at Monroe
Harbor at 5:45 p.m. and
you are to be warmed up and ready to run the workout from there. If you are running from the Loop Equinox it
is about a 15 minute jog to the Monroe
Street and LSD turnabout.
Workouts
and events will be posted online the njoy lifestyle
website. You will need to log into the
website if you want to see what the workout for the day will be and direction
of Saturday run. Events such as races,
workouts and get-togethers will be posted on the calendar.
Below you
will find specific information about the runs, prices and races. We look forward to running with you this
season!
Interested parties are requested to go to the join application page; there you can complete
the Athlete Questionnaire and Membership Waiver Agreement. You will then
receive an invoice where you can then pay by cash, check or PayPal.
